!!Questions!!
A final product that I created in the exhibition is the movie that I did with a group of people. It was really hard. I, am really proud of the work that I did because it just looked beautiful. The experiences that I went through was Interview people and then delete because it wasn't good and then I kept on Interviewing people until I found the best person to Interview.
What I learned from this process is that not much people know about sustainability. But a lot of people in Catalina Island had their own definition of what it means. The challenge that I had to face while video taping was I didn't know what kind of questions I would ask them. So that's why heather was speaking and asking questions while I was video taping.

Project reflection
My name is Akon. I helped work on the movie. What I had to do was interview people while Heather was asking the question. When I was in Catalina Island in Avalon, I interviewed Lo lo. It was fun since he was a movie star In a movie. What shocked me was he stayed in Catalina since the casino was born, which was 1929. He used to be a cowboy when he was 14 or 15, and he played with the cubs. I also video taped a new fire man in Catalina Island about he's job.
One of my best interview was Zury. She thinks to sustain it means to recycle to help keep our earth clean and fresh for everybody and our environment, and the animals.

What is a biomimicry?
A Bio means is life and mimic means imitation. Which means imitating life. For example things that are living, like plants, animals,etc.
What is an enzyme? What is a catalyst?
An enzyme is any of various proteins, as pepsin, originating from living cells and capable of producing certain chemical changes in organic substances by catalytic action, as in digestion. It also means Catalyst. A catalyst is somthing that speeds up a process.
What is cellulosic material?
A cellulosic material is part of a plant that we can not eat.
Why would cellulosic ethanol be more sustainable and efficient than biofuels using corn or sugar cane?
It has the advantage that the lignocellulose raw material is highly abundant and diverse.
Why are termites a great subject for biomimicry research?
Because Termits have enzymes that could make fuel from parts of plants called cellulosic materials.

Concepts learned
1.sustainability: to keep up or keep going, as an action or process: to sustain a conversation. I think sustainability is trying to save things so we wouldn't go stealing from the poor countries.
2. freegrans: I think freegran is trying to use things that you recycled and make something new out of it. I also thing that it's people trying to find recyclable things that can be use over again.
3. Stewardship: a person who manages another's property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another or others.
4. Biomimicry: the copying or imitation of a natural phenomenon's or environment's efficiency and survival mechanisms in manufacturing processes or in applied case-based reasoning.
5. Ecological Footprint:
something which has permanently damaged or had a negative impression the environment; the impact of humans on ecosystems created by their overuse of land, water, and other natural resources.
6. Overshoot: to shoot or go over, beyond, or above. I also think that it is I als think that it means is people or something go to far aand beyond. So that would be my definition.
area x bioproductivity = biocapacity [SUPPLY]Area of farmland times the productivity of the land equals the amount of supply.
population x consumption per person x footprint intensity = ecological footprint: The population of San Diego times the consumption per person times the footprint intensity equals ecological footprint.

So anyways Catalina Island was the best time and place of my life.
I had alot of fun, but didn't get hot dog buns.
